Educators at Sri Dasmesh International School have shown a keen interest in Garden 8, located in Taman Perwira, Gombak Setia. During a recent professional development visit, we had the opportunity to delve into the exciting possibilities of incorporating urban gardening, composting, and recycling into our extracurricular activities.
Garden 8 aims to transform the unused back lanes between homes into flourishing spaces for cultivating fruits, vegetables, flowers, and flowers, and herbs. The gardens provide fresh produce and promote sustainable practices while fostering knowledge. They harvest rain for watering plants, use solar panels to light up at night and recycle even cooking oil! The meticulously designed variety of greenery made a lasting impression on us. Thereafter, we enjoyed a delightful, breakfast prepared by our wonderful hosts, led by Puan Aida and picked up healthy greens as a gesture of support for their incredible effort.
