Virtual Team Hunt

Planting of trees symbolizes hope and the continuity of life. A team of volunteers consist of SDIS alumni and parents participated in an “Adopt A Tree” campaign co-hosted by Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) and Indah Water Consortium (IWK) on the 9th of April at Pantai Eco Park.  In commemoration of our 20th anniversary, SDIS adopted 20 trees to help rehabilitate the park with the aim to allow environmental education for the community at large and shelter to urban fauna species such as garden birds and insects. We are proud to be the first school to participate in this public campaign.

We met at 7.30am. Aside the chirping birds and crickets; we were greeted by the friendly and enthusiastic MNS and IWK representatives. They gave us a tour of the park and a talk on nature conservation followed by our tree planting activity.

The Virtual Team Hunt was a wonderful teambuilding activity as it gave us an opportunity to interact well and certainly challenged us to think out of the box. Despite being remotely connected, we had a terrific time. Simply unbelievable; we had virtually travelled around the world for free!
